Canada African Cup of Nations Inc.
Canada African Cup of Nations is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting football and cultural exchange in Manitoba and across Canada. Our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive community where people of all backgrounds can come together to celebrate African culture through the game of football.
Founded in 2019 by visionary university student Gode Katembo, our organization was founded on and driven by Katembo’s passion for community engagement and sports. He believed that the beautiful game of football has the power to bring communities together to create hope where once was only despair.
At the Canada African Cup of Nations, we strive to foster a sense of belonging among participants while encouraging them to embrace their African heritage. We organize various sports competitions and outreaches such as football tournaments, camps, and academies that are open to all ages. We work with local schools, community centres, and organizations to provide additional resources and support for young people. In addition, we also conduct education sessions about African culture for newcomers for them to better understand and appreciate the beauty of their rich heritage. Through our efforts, we aim to inspire hope and cultivate a stronger future for all
