Okin International Club of Canada
Okin International Club of Canada (OICC) is a registered, non-profit organization, established in 1993 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
OICC aims are to:
- Promote Yoruba Language and culture among its members, community and Canadian society at large.
- Promote and participate in the socio-economic activities such as education, recreational and cultural activities in the community and society at large.
- Contribute to the cultural diversity in Manitoba
Facilitate the promotion of bilingual English-Yoruba language School
The Yoruba Language School:
We operate an accredited Yoruba school approved by the Winnipeg School Division. Students are able to earn high school credits through this program. Students are provided an enriched heritage and cultural experience through poems, drama, customs, songs etc.
Classes are held every Saturday, from 10 to 12 noon.

Our teachers also registered as Special Language Credit Examiners with Winnipeg School Division. High School students can challenge Yoruba Language to earn credits.
