The African Communities of Manitoba Inc. (ACOMI) is proud to introduce Building Resilience, a community-focused initiative funded by the Government of Canada.

This program supports Black, African, and Caribbean individuals and families in Winnipeg by addressing everyday challenges and creating opportunities for growth, stability, and community participation.

Building Resilience focuses on three key areas:

– Housing Stability & Support: Helping individuals and families access housing resources, understand tenant rights, and overcome housing challenges.
– Food Security & Nutrition: Supporting families through culturally relevant food assistance, nutrition education, and community resources.
– Youth Empowerment & Sports: Creating opportunities for young people ages 6 to 25 through sports, mentorship, leadership development, and recreational activities.

All program services are free.

Whether you need support, want to volunteer, or wish to help strengthen our community, Building Resilience offers opportunities to get involved.

Together, we are building a stronger, more connected, and resilient community.
