WHO WE ARE:
The African Communities of Manitoba Inc (ACOMI) is the umbrella organization of people of African descent in Manitoba and one of the leading black-led, equity seeking, non-profit organizations in western Canada.
WHAT WE DO:
We engage in community organizing, capacity building, life-skills training, newcomer services, and advocacy activities aimed at advancing Community Unity and Prosperity.
We deliver community-level programming that ensures people of African Descent and other marginalized communities have access to the resources and services needed to address issues of poverty, homelessness, education, health, nutrition and social exclusion.
We serve as a Cultural Hub for promoting and preserving African culture
